The Inside was meant to keep her safe. Yet the Outsider is what keeps her alive. Living in a world where everyone has a soulmate sounds ideal, but when every soulmate can feel the same pain and receive the same scars as their other half, it's up to them to keep each other alive. With the world being divided into two, and Nova's soulmate living along the Outside walls, she makes the difficult choice to follow him into foreign territory. She would give her life to save his, but would he be willing to do the same? She was thrown into his life without a choice, and now Caspian must face the challenges of trying to protect an Insider in an environment that wants to kill her at every turn. Including his own people. But when he finds himself willing to risk his status among his tribe for her, he sees just how far the bond of the soulmate can be stretched between the Inside and the Outside.

This book was amazing and kept pulling me in. If you love dystopian stories you will love this. It gave me Hunger Games themes/ vibes and I loved it! I absolutely fell in love with the characters and their bond. It one I’ve never experienced in a book before. There were twists and turns and tension, and I loved every minute of it. I cannot recommend this book enough and I cannot wait for book 2!
“I waited a lifetime for you and I was a fool not to see it sooner.”
The playlist the author included fits the book so well. I listened to it after I finished the book and it just brought it all back in my mind. Five stars!
