Recs if you like Ladies Almanack...

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic / lesbian characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Don't shoot the messenger.

my personal wlw library so… a lot of classic lesbian lit, basically

short books around 200 pages or less that you can easily read in one sitting! for those who just want a quick read or those trying to hit their reading goals ! i tried to include a variety of genres including lit fic, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, thriller, etc.

If you spend enough time on the bookish internet, you may be led to believe that the sapphic novel was invented yesterday. In my attempt to dispel this notion, I am creating a series of lists that cover lesbian classics by decade!

Note: Not all of the authors/characters represented in these books are lesbians (as we would understand a lesbian today). Nonetheless, I’ve included them on this list due to their historical and cultural significance to the lesbian community.
