    ARC REVIEW

    4.5 stars

When music teacher Emma moves to Silver Ridge for the summer, she never expected to meet Ashford a brooding ex-military, martial arts instructor who wants nothing to do with her. But underneath all that grumpiness is a devoted single dad.

When she is in danger, Ashford steps in as Emma protector, forcing them closer than ever (forced proximity trope). As sparks fly and threats escalate, she must decide if this connection is worth the risk, or if loving him will cost her everything.

This book was so swoon-worthy. I love the grumpy/sunshine dynamic between the main characters. The small town setting of Silver Ridge added so much to the book, making it feel cozy despite the suspenseful twists..

It was an easy and enjoyable read with the balance of intrigue, spice and heart.

If you love single dad, small town romance with a dash of suspense, then this book is for you.

If you are looking for a romance mystery book this is a great option of a series.
The relationship between Ashford & Emma started as enemies to lovers, there is an insta attraction between them when they meet but due to each others past they don’t acknowledge it.
