this is, by far, one of the best books I read this year. as someone born in a country that went through a similar situation, this book made me reflect a lot. besides that, it was so beautifully and carefully written! we, by the end of the story, knew not only the history of what happened but also we knew the people, and that's what stood out to me the most.
