This book was unhinged from start to finish. And I really enjoyed the bulk of it. Absolutely wild title, cover, and premise (woman finds herself fucking and falling for a sentient magical tree that can manipulate its branches into whatever size and shape it wants) aside, I found this book to be rather sweet. Strange? Yes. Occasionally off putting? Certainly. Sometimes violent? Sure (though not between the romance leads). But sweet and endearing all the same.

I really don’t want to say much more about it, beyond that it’s best to go in with an open mind. The only reason I’ve given the book three stars instead of four is because the last bit of plot lost me, which is saying something given the majority of the book is. You know. A lady fucking a sentient magical tree.

Still, if you’d like some CWs, here’s what I can remember: incest, dubious consent, period sex, piss kink, violence, body horror, threat of sexual assault to FMC, though not from MMC.

This one kinda messed with me, not going to lie. But I talk about it alllll the time lol Really enjoyed the story and how wild it was!
