Recs if you like The Taking...

Books where someone, at some point, lets out a breath they didn’t know they were holding. I fully intend to update this every time I come across this line, but let me know which ones are missing in the comments!

Might be a doll, or a puppet, of some other seemingly innocent childhood toy, but it is actually pure evil. Automatonophobia at its finest.

I’m writing a book where something similar to the rapture happens, so I want to read more books with that concept! Most of these I haven’t read yet, but they popped up when I was googling the subject!

This will include fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, dystopia, and general apocalypse type books. Anything involving a huge amount of people suddenly vanishing and those left behind have to survive.

Please let me know if you have recommendations, especially books where aliens are disappearing people!
