Recs if you like Little Blue Encyclopedia (for Vivian)...

Reading suggestions for the Trans Rights Readathon! (Any year of course). Books with trans characters of any label (or any non-cis gender identity) by trans/non-cis authors. I have not read all the books in this list. Feel free to name your fave books by trans authors in the comments!

I tried to include most books I know or that have been recommended that either have transfem, transmasc or nonbinary main characters. I only add first in series!

Books written in unconventional and experimental styles and formatting.

i've included fiction books of all genres on this list! please recommend some more so i can add them!!

Not necessarily trans, but may feel trans, have a trans author, trans allegories, you get the picture. I haven't read a lot in my adult life, so this may be for those boys too who haven't. Definitely open to suggestions to add to the list!

Fiction books written by transfems & published by a small press or independently (itch, etc). Not bound by any genre.

(this list is very incomplete! please bother me over the ones I inevitably missed!)

Mostly sapphic and/or trans books that might make you cry while reading them. I will admit that it's not hard to make me cry, but these books all definitely succeeded.

a list for a friend! heavy on the sci-fi but some fantasy sprinkled in too. also poetry because 😍

A highlight of some of the titles coming from Canadian authors, presses, and publishing houses! Based mostly on people and books I’ve seen at literary events in Ontario that I’ve read or want to read, with a mix of novels, short stories, poetry, and more.
