I love hockey romances as much as the next person but sometimes you want another sport to take center stage. So here is a collection of sports romance books where one (or all of them) is playing a sport that isn't hockey.

Feel free to leave any recomendations for the list.

(Contains both YA and Adult romance)

Yes, queer and trans folks play sports. These are those books.

Whether it's about the romance or the sport or both, these books at the very least contain characters who practice and/or care about sports, are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and possibly do the kissy

I have not read all of these - I do have a life

I thought it would be nice to have all of them in one long list.

Queer young adult contemporary romance books

Books with LGBTQ Italian or Italian-American characters!

I haven’t read all of these and I am accepting suggestions if you have any!

Books with the “closet key” trope aka a gay/bi awakening.
