books that feel like a cunty skinny cigarette
Exactly what it sounds like. Books you read that make other people question "who is this diva" or "good for her"

an ongoing sapphic masterlist of books (1600+)
in progress
Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.
I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.
Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.
For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.
Open to suggestions for more titles.
Don't shoot the messenger.

Books with Trans representation
I tried to include most books I know or that have been recommended that either have transfem, transmasc or nonbinary main characters. I only add first in series!

Pagebound Readalongs
I couldnt find a list of these yet, so i made one! You may not be able to collect the badges anymore, but if youโre a completionist like me; here are all the books of the pagebound seasonal readalongs and the special event readalongs!

books your pretentious friend has heard of

weird โgirlโ lit for dirtbag queers
these books are both aligned with and offer a queering of โweird girl literatureโ, a genre that manipulates horror, dark comedy, and/or surrealist elements to excavate the internal world of complex and unconventional characters. they are deviant, daring, and perverse reads for the weird queers among us.
*girl in quotation marks to allow this list to extend beyond the binary. recommendations welcome!

transgender fiction ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธโน เฃช ห~
i've included fiction books of all genres on this list! please recommend some more so i can add them!!

High Femme Fiction
pink, sophisticated & sometimes fatale <3 (added some essential nonfic & poetry!)

LGBTQIA+ literary fiction
The only queer & GNC lists/quests Iโve seen have been genre. I love them, but I wanted to also curate a list of literary fiction with LGBTQIA+ characters and themes!

Messy Queers
Just because you are queer doesn't mean you have your life together

letโs do the time warp again!
these books explore queer space and time, rejecting hetero temporality and spatiality across fiction, non-fiction, drama, and poetry. inside, youโll find genderqueer immortals, spirits dipping in and out of linear reality, and queer meditations on bodies and aging. recommendations, as always, are very much welcome.

Weird, Trans, and Maybe a Little Disturbing
Books ranging in genres from litfic to fantasy to horror, all with one thing in common: trans people being a little (or a lot) unhinged.

Transfemme stories
Stories featuring transfemme characters (trans women & non-binary characters) as main characters or love interests. Not exclusively, but largely indie. Stretches genres and age groups, including graphic novels & short stories (but not including non-fiction) ๐
Recommendations welcome!
โฆ I have not read all of these books - if you notice anything that seems to be mis-labeled/mis-placed on this list, please let me know! โฆ

Being Human is Uncomfortable
These books are deeply human, and they aren't afraid to make you uncomfortable along the way. Whether the characters are unlikeable or the author seems to be rudely calling you out or the content is critiquing an aspect of the human experience (or all the above), these books are unflinching in the face of their consumers. Recommendations are welcome!

Queer Literary Fiction
Focused on stories with beautiful prose, depth, and explore the intricate realities of the LGBTQ+ experience. Sub-genres could range from historical, contemporary, science fiction, magical realism, and classics (even romance!).
I will continue to update this, so comment if you have more!

Queer Books by Trans Authors
We're celebrating Trans Day of Visibility by sharing books with queer characters written by trans (transgender and non-binary) authors. (This list is presented by Duck Prints Press, the indie publisher focused on publishing queer art and stories by queer creators! A group of us collaborate to make these recommendations.)

Queer Classics: English Literature Edition
The queer agenda has taken over your English lesson and the compulsory reading list to make you disgustingly educated and gay af ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ p.s. fierce allies welcome
Will keep updating the curriculum, CLASS IS IN SESSION ๐

all adventurous women do
books for fans of Lena Dunhamโs Girls <3

Romance Quest Books that aren't M/F
I went through all the books in the romance quest tab and here are all the ones where at least one of leads is in a relationship that is not "man and woman falling in love with each other." F/F, M/M, F/NBi, M/NBi, NBi/NBi, etc. Largely motivated by wanting to figure out which romance book quests I had a chance of getting the badges for. If I missed any, let me know. Quest specific info in the pinned comment.
