I decided earlier this year that I want to re-read everything by Dean Koontz that I could get my hands on. Nostalgia I guess. I thought when I first picked this book up that I must have read it already since I read so much of his work in the 90s. But after a couple of chapters I realized that I had never read it before. What I did remember though, was the exact conversation I had with my mom over 20 years ago when she was telling me about this great book she was reading. I didn't remember the title of the book she was telling me about but I remembered exactly her description and knew that this was that book. Even remembering a pretty heavy plot point, even after 20 years, this book kept me on the edge of my seat so to speak. So good! I didn't want to put it down because I had to know what happened next. Of course, I read most DK books on the edge of my seat.
