I've always been too obsessed with Batman to be very interested in anyone else so I was a little skeptical when my boyfriend, who is a huge Green Lantern fan, handed me this to read. Needless to say, I absolutely loved it. Secret Origin does an absolutely amazing job making you understand not only the new Green Lantern Hal Jordan but also Carol Ferris and even Sinestro. It made me understand what the movie was lacking because this was about a million times better. The dialogue between Hal Jordan and Sinestro especially made it obvious where Hal Jordan needed to grow up and the fact that he would never just stand down and made you love him for exactly that reason. The artwork was fantastic and it had the perfect mix of badass action scenes and superb writing which made it impossible to put down. I really can't say enough good things about this graphic novel and I will definitely be reading a lot more of Green Lantern!
