Don't sleep with your best friend's brother. My best friend, Gia, has a rule for her employees and her friends: No dating her brothers. This is another great book from Lea Coll. I love the characters and how their actions and reactions are realistic. They have normal fears, even if the situation that they are in follows a romantic trope. This one is a best friend's brother, found family, single mom story with just a little angst from an ex.
Harper has been included as a part of the Giovanni family since she was a girl because she was friends with Gia and Mrs. G realized that she needed them in her life. Harper's mom wasn't a great mom and the men she chose definitely were not father figures. Harper got pregnant right after high school and has a beautiful young daughter, Evie. Evie and Harper still spend a lot of time with the Giovannis, including Sunday dinner. One Sunday, the oldest Giovanni son, Leo, helps Harper with putting Evie in the car because she's sleeping. He is starting to see Harper as more than just his little sister's friend. They start spending more time together and as Harper sees how he interacts with Evie, the more she wishes that they could have a man like her in their lives. Leo is wishing that he could have them as his family. They start a relationship, but try to keep everything secret because of the family. What will they do when the secret comes out? Will everyone be on board? And what's going to happen with Harper's ex when he starts making demands?
