    Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

Nine years ago, Maddox told her father something that resulted in the death of her fiance and his father. In the months after his death, she hit rock bottom. Now Maddox is an operative for a secret government organization, Gray Box. She is sent in the field to retrieve and recruit a man, Cole Matthews, so he can help Gray Box gain access to a black market auction where a biological weapon is on the block. It turns out Cole Matthews is the fiance Maddox thought was dead! Now they must work together to stop an assassin from unleashing a global pandemic.

I need this adapted into a TV show as soon as possible! I won’t lie, at first I was disappointed in the lack of romance, but halfway through the book I became very invested in the entire Gray Box storyline. This is very light on romance, because of the magnitude of what these people are trying to accomplish. But, Maddox and Cole are able to work out their MANY issues. The bottomline is they both had to forgive each other before they could move forward and I think the life or death scenarios they faced helped them move things along. I am now highly invested in the Gray Box team, so I have already ordered the second book!
