Loren’s writing is so beautiful and memorizing. She definitely has a gift where her writing can change you as a person. It’s lyrical and poetic.
She has a way to rip your heart out with just one sentence. There are only a few books that have made me cry and now I can definitely say that I have cried multiple times reading this book. Some books leave such a lasting mark on you and this is definitely one of them.

I thought I already read enough sad books that could break me but this one completely destroyed me multiple times I had to pause my reading to ground myself. That’s how good the writing is in this book.
I felt all the emotions the characters felt and that’s what makes this book so beautiful.

Eli and Phoenix’s story was beautiful and heartbreaking. They go through so much together it scared me how their story was going to end. Their journey is toxic, messy, and painful you think everything would be okay between them and then something just rips that away from them.
They were an emotional rollercoaster, a train wreck you can’t look away from.
But through all that darkness there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.
My heart broke for Eli and I feel like I relate to Phoenix the most.

Their relationship is not easy. It’s gritty and has some ugly moments. It’s not black and white. Both are completely flawed but that’s what makes it more real and raw.
Despite that, their chemistry is the definition of a twin flame, they are soulmates.

Overall this book is truly one of the most beautiful books I’ve read this year. This book deals with some very heavy and sensitive topics so please make sure you check the trigger warnings.
