Officer Luc Moretti had no idea that his dive into the East River would have him drowning in a media frenzy. No matter how many times he tells reporters he was just doing his job, they're determined to make him into NYC's newest hero. Coming from a long line of NYPD's finest, Luc knows that being a cop has nothing to do with headlines and viral videos, and he's more than ready to get back to life away from the cameras-until he meets the gorgeous but jaded journalist assigned to film a TV special on him . . . Ava Sims may be the only woman in NYC who isn't in love with Officer Moretti. That's why she's going after the real story-to find out about the man behind the badge. Ava's determined to keep things strictly professional, but the more time she spends around Luc, even she has to admit there's something about a man in uniform . . . and she can't wait to get him out of his.

“I love you, Ava. And I’m not saying things are going to be easy, but I’d rather go hard with you than easy alone.”
Okay, this was such a fun and cute read like all Lauren Layne's books are, it's not a favorite, but Luc and Ava were really cute and like always I just loved how their development was so good and so worth it! Ava finally learning what she really wanted and trying to follow her true dreams and not do what her parents really were expecting of her, was one of the best things of this book like Luc realizing he can not change the past and try to live the best way possible and not being afraid to fall in love or try to not live with his guilt. Both of them learned a lot with each other and I think that's so beautiful!
Luc's family got me, I fell in love with them the second they were introduced and I can't wait to read Anthony and Vincent's stories!! I wish Elena could have a book but oh well I truly liked her and I wanted to see her story!
Okay this review sucks but I just wanted to say this was a easy fast and cute read but also a hot and with a wonderful message, both of their growth was amazing to read, really good!
“I love you too. And I don’t want you to be my hero. I just want you to be mine.”
