This Alaskan set series steals my heart with every book. I adore these characters, this town, and wonderful heartfelt romances. And Marie and Tyler were no exception.

Going into this I was mildly hesitant as Marie wasn't my favorite character after her actions in the previous books. But I loved getting to know her and see her side of the story throughout this book. There were so many difficult discussion surrounding her character from family roles, to finances, to gender expectations, to pregnancy, and more. And despite my reservations surrounding her, I couldn't help but relate to her.
Coming off of that - this story gets heavy at times. Huge content warning for anything and everything surrounding pregnancy. This book hits it all. Miscarriage, loss of a child, morning sickness, unexpected pregnancy, pregnancy pressures, etc.
However as much as I loved this romance - and I LOVED it. I did feel like the main conflict between the main characters was never directly resolved.
Tyler and Marie have amazing chemistry. And when they're together their connection leapt off the page. But Tyler is emotionally unavailable due to his grief. And in the end I felt that was never resolved. We simply skipped over it.
I wish we had gotten to see a little more of them working through the problem rather than skipping it and going straight to the HEA.
I really hope KA Tucker gifts us with more books in this world. I've grown so attached to this Alaskan town and I never want to leave it. If you're a fan of the first books in this series, this one will not disappoint. It's just as charming, heartfelt, and swoony as it's predecessors. Plus there's tons of adorable dogs
