I had high expectations reading this book. Everyone was saying how sick and twisted it was, and that it made their skin crawl.

But it just didn't hit the same way as her other books. The other ones made me question my existence after having such visceral reactions to the vivid descriptions.

This is sick and twisted, but it was very clunky and then just ended all of a sudden. I was wondering where the rest of it was and went back a few pages to see if I missed something.

If this was a full length novel, it would have been incredible. It would have give me the "what the fuck did I just read?" feeling that I was after.

There was no real build up, suspense, and mystery. Then the founder and business proposition were thrown in. I would have loved more of the hunt described, the fear, less of the mmc's internal monologue at times. 

Or his conflicted emotions to be drawn out, and I guess maybe a build up to the taxidermy.

Unfortunately, this one wasn't for me.
