myrina is a princess-turned-assassin. she’s believed to be dead as a result of seven lords taking over her mother’s throne, but really she’s far away, quietly plotting their deaths. she has more motive than vengeance, though: she must also free her sister, the rightful heir, before the kings harness her power and use it for themselves.

this book wasn’t quite as action-packed as i had hoped, but i still enjoyed it! the author’s writing was very descriptive which helped me get into the book and the world. i also liked the relationship between myrina and her companion cass.

recommended for anyone looking for a quick, standalone fantasy read.
