This is book #2 in this series and you need to read the first one to catch up on the story. Brent has returned to his job as a chef while Lucia has remained in North Dakota trying to save the ranch. She has decided she is staying in town and has come up with a proposal that she thinks will work. She first pitches it to Brent's Aunt Cathie and then decides that she needs to get Brent's approval. Brent gets his promotion at work along with the bonus and gets permission to go home again to get things set. When Lucia picks Brent up at the airport, they both make it clear they have more than casual feelings for the other. They go even further when they go to her apartment so Brent can have a shower. Can they work together to save the ranch or will their personalities push them further apart?
