Short-ish Novels inviting consideration of novel characters in novel situations. Are we on a war ship? An airplane? Dedicated to a niche passion? Practicing a little known, long-ago tradition? A collection of acclaimed classic and contemporary Francophone literature. I chose to classify as Francophone rather than French in order to include authors who wrote in French but were/are not of French nationality, especially authors from colonised countries. Non-exhaustive as I'm not an expert I am keeping this list to one book per author but suggestions very welcome! :)

For those that wish to discover French literature without sticking to the classics ! I compiled a list of French books from various genres (literature, sci-fi, fantasy, children's books, etc.) translated into English. I either already read them, was strongly advised to read them or wish to read them in the future.
