Lori is a resident and is learning and doing her best. She has one problem: her boss Kurt. She CANNOT stand him, he's grumpy, he's bossy and he's controlling. He second-guesses her while taking care of a pediatric patient and she demands he explain himself. When he does, she can't really acknowledge to him that he was right, but she does realize herself that she is holding what she believes to be his reputation against him and that she is probably being unfair. Later, Lori is called out late for an emergency and she is in an accident on her way to the hospital. She needs surgery and Kurt is there to care for her. She finds as she is recovering that she has been very wrong about him and that he really does care for his patients. The more time that they spend together, the more attracted they become. Will she keep pushing him away or will she give Kurt a chance to prove he's not like those other boys she was with before?
