A slow start that brought new dynamics and a different insight into some characters.

It's always a pleasure to come back to the mistyruous world of Emberfall and Sylh Shallow. This book had a slow pace but that led to a major world building that escalated during the reading to a point that was impossible to put the book down. This slow pacing helped to developed the characters and added a depth that they didn't had in the last installment and that explained so much about what was happening in this world and with the characters - it showed their fears and their vulnerabilities. The politics were very present in this book and the fear of magic was the main focus of the story. This mix made the novel compelling that led to a explosive ending and I can't wait for the next book!
