It was going to be a fun summer at Camp Crystal. The young counselors were getting ready for it while they joked about the scary rumors attached to the isolated camp. But evil was waiting in the shadows as the sun set. The laughter turned to screams...the easy living to agonized dying. For the light had gone and the wind was howling and it was--Friday the 13th.

I have no idea if there's something wrong with my edition or if this was never proofread, but there are so many punctuation & syntax mistakes as well as typos, that I feel like I'm reading a student's essay lol. Very peculiar, I think I've never seen it before on this level!
I thought this would be very fitting for today because: ⟢ It's Friday the 13th: It's the book’s namesake day. ⟢ It's June: Just like the movie/book setting: summer camp vibes, warm weather, isolated woods. ⟢ Summerween: It’s peak spooky-in-the-summer energy . Horror in the sunshine hits different.

I’m going to watch the movie for the first time ever now that I’m done with the book. It seems really peculiar as the movie came out first, but it seemed natural to me. I don’t know if there was something wrong with my edition but it had so many typos and syntax mistakes, it felt like it was never proofread at all. Overall, the writing is ok, some phrases and descriptions rather repetitive, and the book could’ve been much shorter without leaving anything important out. It’s immersive and calls out on your inner detective to find out who the killer might be. Was very fitting to start it on June, Friday 13th, I’m glad I finally read it Off to watch the movie now 🍿🎬
