The way that i couldn’t put this down - there was definitely crack in this book. I swear I kept trying to find any kind of excuse to stop what i was doing to read at any given moment. This was one of my first Suspenseful Romance reads and i can honestly say that I am here to STAY!
The story follows Noah Blake and his best friend’s little sister, Lucia. Six years ago, something happened to Lucia’s brother, Rafe, that ended with his murder. Everyone told her to stop searching for answers but how could she? If the roles were reversed she knows that Rafe wouldn’t stop until he found the culprit, so why is everyone asking her to quit? But one day she finds a letter in the mail telling her to ”Stop Digging.” that shatters her to her core.
Enter Noah - he made a dying promise to Rafe to always protect Lucia. He never accounted for falling in love with her. He would give his life if it meant that she was safe from any harm (swoon). But Noah has secrets of his own. The secret of his past - the job that Rafe rescued him from when he was younger was more than questionable. He’ll never get past the things he was forced to do. The only thing he can do now is be better than he was. And he’ll have to, if he doesn’t want Lucia to know about his involvement in the incident that took Rafe’s life…
Guys when I say that this read is SUSPENSEFUL??? WHEW. Just when you think you know what’s going to happen or you think that you uncover a secret - you didn’t. These authors are masterminds (cue Mother Swift) and will keep you on your toes the entire time!

0Lucia wants a normal life whilst also wanting answers about her brothers death, Noah wants to protect her as promised to her brother but neither of them will have a say in what they really want after Lucia tries to find out what actually happened to her brother. Some great twists, action, tension undeniable attraction that can't be ignored as well as lol and oh crap moments that keep you turning the page. You definitely want to get comfy for this one as you won't be putting it down until you finish then will need some time to regroup!
