Books that are atmospheric, emotionally unsettling, beautifully written, a little weird, and linger long after you finish them.

Horror books with a page count of 200 pages or less.

Before we started defining novellas by word count, they were defined as being any book less than 200 pages. Source: my Analysis of Short Stories & Literature professor in community college. I loved that class. But he loved James Joyce. So, ymmv, I guess.

Tight spaces. Heavy air. The creeping realization that escape may not be possible. These are stories designed to make you feel trapped.

Depressing, rage-inducing, a collection of books that thoroughly disgusted me of the events/ the character's thoughts and/ behavior. Sometimes it's important. Sometimes it's just fun. Could be satire, social commentary, or historical!

As a fan of the country thanks to k-pop and k-drama (go watch When Life Give you Tangerine, it's 10/10) since 2020, I am trying to discover all of this culture.
