The J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize is an annual $10,000 award given to a book that exemplifies, "literary grace, a commitment to serious research and social concern." The prize is given by the Nieman Foundation and by the Columbia University School of Journalism.

Hurricane Katrina made landfall on Monday August 29, 2005, devastating the city of New Orleans, Louisiana as well as much of coastal Mississippi. Damage from the hurricane caused one of the largest mass migrations in American history. This list contains memoirs and investigative journalism about the storm and its subsequent aftermath.
