Reading suggestions for the Trans Rights Readathon! (Any year of course). Books with trans characters of any label (or any non-cis gender identity) by trans/non-cis authors. I have not read all the books in this list. Feel free to name your fave books by trans authors in the comments!

Sci-fi books that I feel are hopeful and have a cozy, often slice-of-life vibe. Some of these could also fall under the solar punk category.

Note: I have not read all of these (and some I’ve dnfed/disliked) but I wanted to include all the cozy sci fi that I know of.

Books that have significant cats, because what bookworm doesn't enjoy cats? (For series I have only included book 1.)

Low(ish) stakes, cozy worldbuilding, mostly loveable characters, and almost always a happy ending–whether it's with dragons or starships, these books are the ultimate warm hug of escapism. Pairing with your favorite warm beverage is highly recommended.
