All the Illumicrate, Afterlight, Evernight, Starbright, etc. picks for 2026

Me every time I read a book: “Hey there’s a Florence song for this”

Inspired by the songs, lyrics and overall vibes of Florence + the Machine.

books i've read or want to read where the atmosphere is just as important as the plot! hidden magic, found families, and stories that feel like you're right there in the setting.

books i’ve read (and liked) that made me feel the cozy calm (or dark grit) of fall

no rhyme or reason, just ✨vibes✨

**i’m including some cozy fantasy/spooky season/fall-occurring books, but this list is also meant to expand beyond those limited sub-genres to include books i think would hit different if read during fall or majorly incorporate elements i associate w fall like mountains/forests, adventures, murder, small towns, seasons of change/hardship, grittiness, dark academia, pirates, etc

Light cozy fantasy for when you need a pick me up

Books that have the power to become their own fairy tale story and some fairytale retellings that still feel unique or are just pure classics. Happy Endings, Tragic ones and To Be Continued all included. (In Series only the first books are listed)

Stories that take place in or around a house, whether literal or abstract. Any genre welcome! 🏠
