Recs if you like The Temple of the Golden Pavilion...

Essential Japanese novels and short fiction, past and present.

Many of these are directly about fire but some are also just books I like with fire in the title so you win some you lose some. Would be thrilled to hear any suggestions.

Books that are banned, censored, removed from bookshops, marketplaces, and libraries, and writers that are considered as a threat to the authorities. Some called it a "Fahrenheit list".

i’ve watched entirely too much TV and movies but they are my livelihood & passion etc etc
