Recs if you like The Discovery of Heaven...

Based on the list/book published in 2006, general editor Peter Boxall.

a list of classics with a focus on global and marginalised authors.

the best of the low lands. learn about life in slavery under dutch colony rule or the big flood in 1953, when the water bursts through the dikes, or get entangled in the eccentricities of connie palmens seven men. personal recommendation is the song of stork and dromedary by anjet daanje, a gothic and philosophical novel about a character based on daanjes favorite writer: emily brönte.

all translated from dutch, except for ‘the safekeep’ (original written in english by yael van der wouden)

Books I finally want to read instead of need to read for my booklist on high school. I try to read one classic per month.
