This list appears to be Simon & Schuster promoting its own books. While I understand that sponsorships can be an important source of income, itâs shady and deceptive not to clearly indicate that this list was created by a corporation as part of a sponsorship deal instead of by an individual who doesnât have a financial stake in the books theyâre recommending. Even changing the subtitle to something like âRead queer all year in partnership with Simon & Schusterâ would be more transparent.
