it's actually frustrating how fast this is moving—literally. they're covering so much distance with minimal resistance. i'm being told about it but not really seeing it. and the lack of trouble outside of the tax collectors and the lion (which were both resolved so quickly and anticlimactically) is just a little boring.

and they get a working car, but abandon it when it runs out of gas, without ever trying to siphon gas from other cars? isn't andrew supposed to be a movie nerd? he's never seen people do that in them?

i also wish he was having some pain or something from his poorly set/badly healed injury. there's a throwaway comment about being able to feel rain, but he has no trouble walking across so many states without having pain?
