I wonder if resurrection as a form of cruelty is going to be a thing in this? Idk, that's a bad way of wording it. But the people and creatures brought back to life that we know stuff about so far are:

• Milkis, the rat, who repeatedly dies of cancer (I think?)
• The chicken that was killed and eaten over and over again
• The two humans, who evidently came back Wrong

I don't think the cruelty it symbolises (if I'm right about this) is a deliberate one – for the human characters, it's clearly grief and an inability to let go, and I suspect it's the same for Milkis. For the chicken, they were hungry and desperate. I'm interested to see where this goes!
