I’m pleasantly surprised by the world building nuances we’re getting from both the Halfling society and Goblin society.

The Halflings have a Gandalf like human wizard, who they respect for his help in the war against the last Dark Lord, but they also warn their young to not engage with him or else be changed.

And the Goblins are forced to the fringes of society because the only person who would hire them, for coin, WAS the Dark Lord. Leading them to be critically judged and currently finding their caves poisoned by a dwarven refinery.

IT’S FASCINATING! I’m goblin this up.
