I know that Paul is probably coming to terms with the fact that he possibly has cancer, since it's not yet confirmed officially for him at this point but I'm finding myself so angry at the way he is shutting his wife out. He keeps saying "when I do this, when I do that, this is the plan. I'm so close" as if his wife doesn't have those exact thoughts as well about her life. About their marriage. To be so put into alert mode that he puts his phone on silent is very highly triggering my anger. Now you take your wife seriously? lol when she's asking for a break?
It's obvious he's aware of issues and yet...only until she wants to be apart is he taking it serious. Doesn't she deserve better? Now what? The rest of the book is him absolving himself from putting his wife and her things second to his own?
Men. Derogatory.
I know that's not the point of the book but it's so fucking frustrating.
Editing because in my anger I called Paul, Peter.
