How are we supposed to believe this when none of their two (2) encounters held any significant weight? I don’t believe Briar would have any effect on Corin at this point in the story; they barely have a few words between them at all and no other reaction towards each other that’s shown or written out for the reader to grasp. I can’t even tell the vibe other than the author wants me to think they will have a special, deep connection, sometime in the future of the book… like there is no chemistry between them so far and you’re telling me that Corin’s rigid and stubborn layers are being peeled? Where? How?? By a single moment when her cheeks felt hot because their skin touched? 😭
Book is slowly driving me nuts and I’m barely anywhere in the story even🫠
