I’m confused on approximately how old everyone is supposed to be. Wouldn’t Hawkes have been at university when Declan passed? Seems too young to receive a guardianship letter like the one Declan wrote, no? How’d they know each other? I keep forgetting where everyone grew up too. How old people were when stuff happened. I need to do a reread and take notes.

And, I’m pondering now, could Hawkes be The Roman?! He talks about forces being at work in his life. He comes and goes mysteriously. Always in the right place at the right time when he’s needed.

Just something I’m contemplating.
