Hey y’all!!! I was just wondering if you guys have ever just fallen out of love for a certain genre?

For example, I started reading about 2-3 years ago and I was primarily a romance reader. Starting from YA romances like Better Than The Movies and The Summer of Broken Rules. Eventually I moved over to more adult romances and was completely enamored for the genre. The past year though I was reading more thrillers and literary fiction books and decided to take a pause on the romance genre. Now I’ve decided to go back and read three straight romance books and honestly they just don’t hit the same. Everything just feels boring and the same repetitive tropes are used. The writing for these books are fine, but I’m just not that in love with the stories like I used to.

I’m wondering if any of you guys have also experienced this same situation where a genre you used to read, just doesn’t hit the same like before?!?! Let me know :)
