Working on my animal protagonist book list, and wanted some input from the PB community. I have the usual suspects (warriors, wings of fire, water ship down, ect) as well as finds of my own, but I wanted to see what niche books with animal characters you’ve all been into. I want to use the list to not only make a good collection of books with animal focus, but to spotlight some rarer reads in the genre.

As a bonus: share what you do and don’t like when it comes to creature fantasy/fiction novels. It’s such a broad genre that the content is quite varied, and I’m curious what everyone else’s preferences are
