I ran into some interesting content on my social media feed today where a guy cold calls bookstores to get some recommendations (unsure if it's okay to mention the specific content creator but they're easy to find).

First, love the variety of bookstores that are being featured. I don't see that type of content all that much. Second, I think the questions are perfect for a short phone call. They're usually some variation of:

1. What's your favorite book, or most recent favorite?
2. What's a book everybody should read?
3. What's a book that got you into reading? What's a book that got you out of a reading slump?
4. What's the last book you sold?

But I want to flip this around for the sake of discussion, so to that end:

• What's the best recommendation you've gotten from a book seller or librarian? Alternatively, what's the weirdest (or most memorable) recommendation you've gotten from a book seller or librarian?
