There's a lot of masking that goes on at work (and in daily life) and I'm finding this book pretty relatable so far. I let out a disappointed sigh when Marisa mentioned she stopped going to therapy and kept taking the prescription pills. I guess it's working for her...for now. But there's so much good that can come out of therapy!
When she went to the Prado museum and stared at Bosch's piece, it was definitely reminding me of the museum scene in Ferris Bueller's Day off. Maybe because I don't visit museums often and it's all I have to compare it to.
Also her relationship with Pablo seems like a nice break from her usual, dark mind. I can see how it's appealing. I do wonder if their relationship will change over the course of the book because he seems to understand her really well. I can't decide if I would like it better if they stayed friends or if they developed a romantic (not just physical) relationship.
