Hot Take: Billionaire romances are really millionaire romances

We don’t have the ability to really understand how much money even $1B is. I think that almost all “billionaire” romances are really “extremely rich guy romances.”

Even though the non-mega-wealthy authors have good imaginations, it’s beyond the grasp of ordinary people (me and presumably everybody reading this) just how much money that is, and how it changes thought processes.

The book I’m reading, the billionaire just thought about how a restaurant is really expensive. But I don’t think a real billionaire would do that.

I once read a billionaire romance where the couple met on a commercial airline flight.

Other billionaire romances have MMCs living rather modestly, maybe a really nice 5-bedroom house.

Then why are you still a billionaire?!

If you’re happily wealthy but not needing much and continuing to work to earn money … why haven’t you given away lots of money to charity to be a “mere” hundred millionaire?

How is a nice, modest, non-ostentatious guy sitting on money just resting in the bank (or stocks) like Scrooge McDuck?
