I've never owned an e-reader but I'm considering getting one. My main reason is for portability, I commute to uni so it would be nice to have something to do during my travels. (Also, my bookshelf has officially ran out of space so I'm having to put books into my clothes drawers TT).
Are there any distinctive pros and cons I should be aware of? Is there a wide range of books that you can access?
And, is there any particular e-readers you guys would recommend 🙂↕️? I don't have a massive budget so I'll be prioritising affordability over premium features for the most part.
I'm completely unfamiliar with how they work so any and all information is welcome 💛.

An introduction to the Horror genre, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

Maybe because this covers such a vast array of topics, I found myself not really enjoying it 😓. I'm not much of a non-fiction reader and even when it does come to these types of books, I generally am really picky with picking books on topics I'll genuinely be interested by (which isn't very many atm).
However! This book still holds up as being very educational and insightful. Finding out that most transport inventions were made during the industrial revolution wasn't a surprise but finding out the sheer amount of vehicles, etc that were made was. And, the truth of carrots being used as a cover up for radar was hilarious (人´∀`)。゚+.
I think this book, Imo, lacks a more diverse range of information. I understand that many inventions were made by white men because they had access to the resources and freedom and whatnot to carry out their experiments but it just felt really lacking for anything outside of Europe (or Mesopotamia). That is not me saying any inventions or origins from these regions should be discarded but instead, more cultures and regions should be included.

All of the origins are short, snappy little facts more than anything. It's good if any of the topics mentioned pique your interest so I think I'll personally be researching deeper into the music and literature that was mentioned. But, if you're searching for an in-depth explanation then, this is not your book.
