This book unlocked new things in me. Like it truly rewired my brain chemistry. Honestly mental health rep in a man is kinda refreshing. Like I feel like mental health is mainly associated with FMCs so it was super nice seeing that. Also you don’t have to read the other books to be able to keep up with this one. The cliffhanger was INSANITY. My only gripe is the lack of separation between dialogue and action/thoughts is kinda killing me. It makes it slightly hard for me to figure out who’s saying what.

What a delightful couple, really. This book got me out of my reading rut. I usually don't like books that involve kids and such, but I don't know, I feel like this one wasn't too in your face which helped me connected with the characters more. E Salvador did a good job making the MCs equally as interesting as the side characters, they were amazing, but they didn't totally steal the show because TJ and Lola were just as equally interesting. Definitely recommend this book!

This read was so insanely refreshing. I feel like we've made it normal for books to be super long and almost clinical in their language. I really enjoyed this books length and the couple in it. All the characters felt authentic which is so hard to do. I love seeing black women be loved!

Check & Chase follows the dramatic love story of Emma & Chase, and I must say, I was loving them way before I read the book. This was my first sports romance as I generally don't care for sports, but I couldn't resist getting to see my book bf, Chase in action. I really enjoyed Clara's writing style as it gave me valuable insight to how the characters were thinking but sometimes their actions didn't make much sense. It left me asking 'wtf?' to some of their rationale. I'm super excited for book two and will definitely be doing a reread soon as Clara has re-edited since and I'm interested to see how the story is now! Overall, this was a gut-wrenching love story that had me in the corner rocking back and forth (in a good way LOL)

Loving a Vampire is Total Chaos is a book I went back and forth about reading. I was afraid it’d be too similar to the Twilight plot but I was pleasantly surprised to figure out it was nothing like it.

I was emotionally invested in how the characters were going to come together. The plot had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out more. Aura Hayes did an amazing job making it seem like they were two different people (ifykyk). Zav and Celine rarely did things that made me question their realness. Their internal monologue supported their decisions and made them feel more authentic. The read was digestible. It didn’t feel too long or too short and gave us enough time to get emotionally invested in their journey.

So ready for book 2! 🤭
