This was really fun!

I think this book kind of has a slow start introducing the past events that affect the present of the story but once it gets going it was very enjoyable once the action starts picking up after the first little chunk of the book.

Its a very fun fantasy world where the gods of the world actually can interfere with the living world but not in the way I typically experience when reading fantasy. And they DO interfere with the world sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. This book is largely written in third person omniscient but I found the narrator to be really fun when when its actually just a bunch of birds screeching at Neema. I highly recommend the audio book, never thought I'd have a bird screeching at me for a good 10 seconds in an audio book but here we are. I think I'm better for it?

Anyway, I loved all of the characters and am looking forward to the next book in the series!
