OH BOOKTOK HOW HAVE YOU CAUGHT ME AGAIN.
THIS DUOLOGY HAS ME IN A BIND. I DEVOURED EACH AND EVERY WORD AND I WANT MOREEEEEEEE!
Arin and Essiya are so complex and multi-layered, itâs hard to read into the choices they make, which makes these characters so interesting.
I love it. Have to give my shoutout to The Mummy franchise for getting me into Egyptian myths.

Okay, listening to The Mummy franchise instrumentals while reading this is seriously peak.

Again, the Egyptian phase in me has never faded away. And so, with that, I absolutely devoured this.
I love the magic system, the world-building and the characters! Especially Sylvia who does not truly fathom the war between the kingdoms.
The enemies-to-lovers was surely a slow burn but it is sp worth it because Iâd rather read on intensely than have it happen two-three chapters down.
Overall, a very fun read! 5 âď¸
