This series is really not for me and I hate these stupid seasonal cute-sounding books constantly stare at me and I convince myself I want to read them.

This really wasn't for me for so many reasons, but let's start with the more objective issues. This is false marketing. This book has nothing to do with fall, it's entirely a summery book with actuvitues like a festival, beach date and a boat trip. You can't get more summer vibes than that. But the cover and the title make you think this is some cozy fall romance perfect for curling up with on a rainy day. And I hate being lied to.

Another, and probably the biggest, dealbreaker for me is Regina Reagan, the narrator of the audiobook. I hated her in The Pumpkin Spice Cafe and I hate her here. She's a good narrator, but she should be banned from narrating romance novels. Thriller books? Sure. Horror books? Absolutely. Just stay away from the romance because she sounds like an old lady and I don't want an old lady telling me about how hard a dude is and how many times he makes the heroine come.

But even if I didn't listen to the audiobook and if I had picked this up during the actual summer, I don't think I would've loved this book much more. The whole relationship didn't feel very convincing, the miscommunication went on for too long and it felt just stupid and juvenile, the characters didn't really have that much chemisty and the whole wannabe mystery with the clues was neither fun not mysterious.

I love the idea of this cute little fictional town and a series with a whole bunch of cute romances with pretty covers, but now that I've read two of the books, I see a pattern and I don't like it. Stupid mystery, underdeveloped romance and way too many spicy scenes for a book marketed as cozy and wholesome is not my vibe and hopefully I will stop myself from picking the next book in the series around Christmas and inevitably end up with another two star read.

What do you mean?? What do you mean I have to wait for fuck knows how long for the second book after THAT ending??? Who do I sue? Where do I protest? I need book two immediately!

Reading this was such a new experience for me. I'm not a fantasy reader and I although I have been reading some fantasy books this year, the urge has been getting stronger and stronger lately, so much so that I completely impulsively not only bough but read this book immediately. Something was calling to me with this one and I'm so glad I listened.

This book was so addicting and fun. Is it flawless and perfect? Absolutely not. There were many things I wish were explained better, explored more and developed in a more believable way. But none of it matters because I've LIKED a fantasy book again!

The magic system in here is my favorite aspect of the story and you will probably never hear me say these words again. I find tarot interesting, but Elise Kova managed to create something truly special with it and I love how complex and intricate the magic is I truly enjoyed finding out every little detail about it. And I still have so many questions that I can't wait to get answers to.

What bothers me a bit is that this is marketed as a romantasy, but this is definitely way more fantasy than romance. And surprisingy, I love that! The romance is such a slowburn, the tension between Clara and Kaelis so delicious and although I wish we got to see a bit more of their relationship developing, I do love their interesting chaotic dynamic.

I want to keep gushing about this story and how much fun I had with it, but I will stop. I don't even know if this is objectively something I should be recommending since there are probably better fantasy/romantasy books out there, but my only point of reference and comparison is Quicksilver and I guss this is a sign for me to explore the genre more because it's obviously working out for me.

I had no idea what to expect going into this book. I know this book is very loved by so many people, but since I have a very specific taste in lit fic, this could've equally been hit or miss.

Thankfully, this was actually a very fun experience. I really like the chaos and messiness of a wedding setting and even though the characters were almost a bit too quirky and caricatures for my taste, it somehow worked with the whole story.

It did, however, get a bit mundane at times and there were definitely parts of this book I could've skipped and still not missed anything important for the story, but I do get the hype and why this was so popular last year.

Not my favorite thing I read and I will most likely forget about it in a couple months, but I'm glad I finally read it and found out what the fuss is all about. Dolid read, but not my type of book.

I can't believe i actually finished this book. This was so boring, so stupid and so fucking pointless. Even the twists that I would normally like fell flat because by that point I just couldn't care less. I hated every single character in this book; all the good parts of the book didn't mean anything for the plot; none of the characters' motivations made any sense; everything was at the same time rushed and dragged way too much; marketing of this book is completely false and this has barely anything to do with reality tv; so many plotlines go nowhere and nothing matters because after this ridiculous plot the only way you could end this story is exactly the way Lucinda Berry did and it's a slap to the reader's face. So many things wrong with this story and it's such a shame since some of the topics discussed in this book are actually very important, but poor execution of the story overshadows the valuable parts.

I'm pissed. I'm disappointed. Trust the low ratings for this one and don't waste your time and money on this. I don't understand why or how this is published and I hope this one is the fluke in Lucinda Berry's opus since I really loved The Perfect Child and I hope she'll get back to her good writing soon.

I forgot how much I hate the narrator in these audiobooks. I can't get into a romance when an old lady-like voice is narrating the story.

A great conclusion to an amazing series that suddenly overtook my life completely in the past week. Cam and Dusty's story was such a good one and I really like that this book existing is just another confirmation that Cam is a part of the Ryder family and Rebel Blue Ranch and that warms my heart.

This whole series, as well as this book, feels like a warm hug and makes me so happy. I would gladly read ten more books in this series, but I understand that would not make sense.

I think Swift and Saddled remains my favorite in the series, but this one could be a strong second favorite. I really appreciated the way Cam's baggage eas handled and how patient Dusty was. I also like that we got to see the flashbacks of their relationship from high school, it made their romance more believable and interesting.

Thank you, Lyla Sage, for creating this world and making my cold black heart happy and fuzzy for a little while.

Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something. After this book has been sitting on my TBR for years and has been one of the TBR veterans for so long, it turned into a running joke that I will never actually read it and it will just chill on my TBR forever. And maybe it should've.

There wasn't a single thing I liked about it. It was incredibly boring, nothing has happened, the world is not that interesting, the main character is the most lifeless uninteresting mptherfucker I've ever read about and even the book is not edited well with million typos and mistakes.

The audiobook narrator did a solid job though, I liked the slight Spanish accent.

I don't recommend this, and I genuinely don't understand people who rated this with 5 stars. Maybe they see some deeper message here and shit, but this was so predictable and poorly developes that I couldn't care less about it. What a waste of time.
