What an adventure! I don't know why it took me so long to read the book but it's finally finished. The story was nice! Nikki is clearly my favorite character! Romance is nice!

I’ve been getting into historical fiction specifically set during this time period. I’m making a list of it for myself on here but the lists of books are overwhelming when I try searching so I’m asking here. Here is what I have so far! https://pagebound.co/lists/8788ac07-2adf-4495-978f-6549d41d8c1d Any recommendations?

Bookriot has written an in depth article about the declining sales of historical romance with quotes from many well-known HR authors, like Mimi Matthews, Sarah Maclean, Joanna Shupe and Liana de la Rosa. I am a huge fan of historical romance and this trend of established HR authors being pushed into other genres by publishers makes me very sad. I also learned from this article that the mass market paperback is officially dead per the end of 2025. I knew this was happening (even Harlequins shifted to a larger format), but this also makes me very, very sad. I adore my large collection of mass market historical romances. Are you still reading HR? Article link: https://bookriot.com/unmaking-of-the-historical-romance-genre/

Following the post on bookmarks, I wondered where was your favorite place to read? In your bed? In your garden? Tell me! And why this place precisely? Personally I have two favorite places. In my bath and in my bed. Because my room is my favorite place. And in my bath because I feel comfortable in the water

Okay, so I know we all use things that aren't meant to be bookmarks as bookmarks. I used recipts, cards, stickers or really anything I can get my hands on but I've been using a leaf lately . . . A 'Wonder Of The World' leaf or a 'Kalanchoe pinnata' leaf to be exact (image belowfor anyone who doesn't know).
I forgot that this is a plant that can survive in nearly any environment and it is now sprouting new plants while inside my book 😭
I've been reading on my tab for a few weeks now and forgot that I picked the leaf as an impromtu bookmark while I was reading a while ago . . .
What was the weirdest bookmark you used? (Definitely not asking for inspiration for my next bookmark 👀 )

If you're on here as much as I am, you may find this to be pretty cool vs using the mobile browser directly. I've only done this in the chrome mobile browser on an Android phone, so if you're using something else your milage may vary but happy to help you figure it out if you're using something like safari on an iPhone. Basically you can install the site as an app and it will open without all the extra browser feel.
Steps:
1. Open the homepage in your mobile browser and then click the 3 dots at the top right of the screen.
2. Click "Add to Home Screen"
3. Click "install"
4. Open the pagebound "app" and enjoy 😊
