This is a quick read, perfect for someone who wants to read a fast and easy romance. It’s a “spicy” book but mostly fade to black, so if that’s not something you’re into keep that in mind.
It’s like cheesy romcom meets hallmark movie
I did find it to be a predictable plot, one thing I wish that it did was show rather than tell the story, I felt like the author explained too much rather than showed the emotions of the characters, so it’s not a book that I fell in love with BUT it’s a good book for filling the time and entertaining you.
This is very much the same as the first book “The wedding date” but I liked the characters even less.
It is a quick read another “spicy” book but mostly fade to black, so if that’s not something you’re into keep that in mind.
I’m not sure if this is a spoiler but I marked the review as a spoiler just in case, it’s a friends with benefits story, which I think I just don’t really like so it’s more a personal preference review. It feels like the cheesiest romcom. Her other book did as well, so there’s always a time and place for cheesy romcoms just keep in mind there’s no real substance just fluff.
First off I listened to the audiobook SOLELY because David Tennant was the narrator. It’s a kids book, and I’m an adult and still enjoyed it. I put it on my list for my kids future library!
I think it’s fun the POV is from the narrator so it’s already fun and goofy, then it’s got a pretty fun story attached. It’s lighthearted fantasy which is fun to read sometimes.
