Post from the Yellowface forum
Almost 1/5 of the way through in a single sitting. I don't think I'm sleeping tonight. June is so devious and there's so many twists and turns so far. š

I mentioned on here once that I love unhinged women in books, and honestly, both MCs fit that in different ways. Sometimes it's funny, other times cute, many times frustrating. But I also remember being a queer teenager with a Vampire Diaries-level emotional block, so I understand that urge to go unhinged with it all š
I do think, though, it is the side characters that made this book for me. I loved their story arcs, progression, and how they all come together, and in some ways kind of wish the book was more about that, because when everything is said and done, that is what I have thought about and wished I got more of. My emotional investment in Shara and Chloe was just all over the place, and by the time it was done, I was rooting for them, but kind of in the way I root for a random ex's new relationships. Like, I am happy for them, that's awesome, but I don't really care enough to ask a bunch of follow-up details š
But yeah, I enjoyed my time with the book and thought it was a cute, fun read.

A very good educational book that is a great starting point to learn about intersectionality and history. I really enjoyed the glossy pages filled with a range of text, quotes, infographics, and exercises that I could do to unpack my own biases.

A shockingly honest account of stumbling into, and then learning all the tricks of the trade of, the drug dealing business in America. From the first darkweb order to the impending cannabis lobbying taking over small growers, and the rules along the way that don't get you caught.

An easy read with a millenial tone, and enough footnotes to understand every reference.
